My question is: how can large numbers of single people within the church possibly be biblical; it was not the norm in Judaism or in the early church - quite the contrary. We seek healing and wholeness yet neglect this area; also, how can a married author properly address the issues around singleness? Surely everything she has said is negated by the fact of her marriage, as for up to one third of the church, singleness has become a lifelong state. Possibly, God has a plan for the church vis a vis singleness and mission, but then what does that then indicate about mission and married missionaries? Also, what of the church universal's view of singleness when there is no accurate data about church demographics, no corporate prayer to establish God's intentions regarding such a sizeable proportion of the church. I expect vision and discernment from Ellel teaching materials but am not convinced that there would any real depth, substance or scope in this case
